Traditional Charm achieved but with Modern UPVC Timber Alternatives

Location:  We have a four bedroomed detached house in a conservation area in the centre of Quorn, Leicestershire.

Can you give a brief description of what Kettell installed for you and why you chose those products?

Kettell replaced all of the windows and our front door in our home. We wanted to replace the existing wooden windows with the timber alternative windows to help with longer term maintenance, efficiency, but also to ensure the design was sympathetic to the restrictions of the conservation regulations. After reviewing what there was available we chose the Evolution Storm 2 windows and matching door.

How many times have you used Kettell? Is this your first time, what made you decide to go with the team?

We looked at a number of potential providers but were attracted to Kettell largely because we were recommended by a long standing friend of ours who had previously used them on a similar full replacement project a year earlier, and because they are friendly, helpful and their proactive approach and responsiveness throughout the design and quoting process.

What did you think of the team during the installation?

Once we moved to the installation phase, the great service continued which vindicated our decision. The installation team were onsite as and when planned and worked methodically around the house. They were clean and respectful in their work, and carefully made good any minor damage created around the window frames caused by removal of the existing windows, original to the house.  

You had an install of replacement Window & Door replacement, what difference have they made to your home?

The windows and the door look great! They have helped to bring the aesthetics of our home, internally and externally, to life and have certainly benefitted the efficiency of our heating costs.

How did you feel about the end result of your project?

We have been thrilled with the results and thankful to Kettell for their invaluable help and guidance through the planning and selection phase but also with the care with which they conducted and completed the installation.

Would you recommend Kettell?

We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Kettell or to use them again in the future!

Windows – Cream woodgrain on white woodgrain Evolution Storm 2 Windows with timber look joints. Windows include a 45mm deep proportioned external cill, chrome teardrop handles and 9mm antique square lead to the glass. The install includes external concealed trickle vent hood covers bespoke to Kettell. 

Front door – An olive grey on white woodgrain ‘Ballingdon’ English Door Company front door with a cream woodgrain outer frame and flag windows. The Door has a deep midrail with chrome furniture including lever handle, letterbox and a doctors knocker.
