Why choose an AluSpace Door?

Home trends are moving to ‘broken plan’ as we use our homes for both work and play, but we still want to feel connected. So glass doors with heritage styling and slim sight lines are the go to look.

Go to any home design show or flicking through an interiors magazine the steel-look style is being used for room division. Not only because they look good, but at the same time providing an effective acoustic barrier.

We have chosen the Smarts Aluspace range with a choice of hardware to up the style stakes whilst being functionable for modern living.

Options available:

The Aluspace range can be configured in a number of ways so that they work best for your needs. The doors come in a choice of hinged single & double doors, as well as pivot and sliding. Whilst the stylish, fixed glazed screens can be added to provide almost limitless design options.

Kettell are able to offer the following door options:

Hinged Doors:
Hinged doors are available in Double & Single options with a range of width, hinge & furniture options.
The maximum width for any one door is 900mm, with a minimum of 400mm. The maximum height is 2200mm.

Sliding Doors:
Sliding doors provide the option to close or partially open the internal screen and come with a choice of contemporary or vintage rail options. This option is particularly good if you are restricted on space either side of the opening. Doors can be single of double depending on the opening size.
The maximum width of the door sash is 1200mm, with minimum of 400mm. The maximum height available is 2500mm.

Options also extend to include visible hinged, concealed pivot or sliding mechanisms, allowing a system that can be completely tailored to meet almost any design.

Glazing:
The glazing options available from Kettell for both the doors & fixed screens are 6mm & 18mm. The 6mm is a single pane of glass, but be rest assured the glass is either toughened safety or laminated depending on your requirements.

The 18mm option is a double glazed option where you have the added option of adding acoustic glass for an improved sound barrier.

Colours:
The range is available in various powder coated colours, the most popular being Black & Anthracite Grey.

Hardware

The range comes with a choice of hardware from handles to knobs & thumbturns. Finishes range from Brushed to Polish chrome, as well as Black, Antique & Satin Brass.

The Velino and the Varese ranges are by far the most popular.

The locking mechanism is a unique magnetic latch but AluSpace do offer to option of a lock, just in case you need to keep the separated space a little more secure.

Maintenance

The great thing about the AluSpace range is it requires minimal maintenance. The frames can we wiped down with…. & the glass will be gleaming again with a high quality glass cleaner.

Showroom Example

We know how important it is to look & feel the products we champion, which is why we have installed an AluSpace Aluminium Single door and side screens at our showroom space.

The door is finished in black aluminium with a Velino Lever Handle in Antique brass. Due to the height of the space available we have included a fixed screen either side & above the door.
